As part of Foreign Language Week, two parents have visited French class recently to tell of their travels to France: Heather Koledo in the 6th grade and Maria Basescu in 7/8th. TGS students were able to see and hear the passion in these two women's voices for the memories these two trips left them with.
Heather spent two weeks with a host family in Brittany in the 70's and remembers the trip like it was yesterday. Heather had a short slide show and talked about Mont St. Michel and experiences with her host family who she remembers with great fondness.
Maria traveled with a school group of teens and her French teacher. They were in France for 6 weeks. Maria had pictures from all around France, and inserted some humor in her presentation by comparing slides of various French foods.
Both Maria and Heather advised Grammar School children to plan to spend time out of the US in a French speaking country in the future! Thank you to both parents for taking time to come to class and speak!
