Clothing, days of the week, and names of places have been our focus lately in French class. Grenadine showed us the clothing she took on a little trip around France, while our characters, Hugo, Thomas, Marion, Leila, Sébastien and Kim told us the places they visited each day with their school. These included a château, a school, the pool, a circus, the Asterix park, and a party. Each student made a book of the places, which should have gone home yesterday. We also learned about the sound -an, and wrote some words that use this configuration of letters.
We will aim to work through the next chapter of the book before the end of the year. We will learn to describe our hair and eye color, study numbers to 100, learn the names of the months, and talk about the sound -u makes in French.
Vocabulary will include:
Le Calendrier de Grenadine: janvier, février, mars, avril, mai, juin, juillet, août septembre, octobre, novembre and décembre
Les chiffres de Grenadine: dix, vingt, trente, quarante, cinquante, soixante, soixante-dix, quatre-vingts, quatre-vingt-dix, and cent
