Baking for the holidays? One French favorite is the "Bûche de Noël", or the Yule log. The cake is not hard to make, nor is the frosting, and if you go to the trouble of making the little meringue mushrooms, you will have a beautiful edible work of art to impress your guests. This is a fun thing to prepare with  your children.
