7/8th grade French

Grammar, more grammar, rules and verbs! In 7th and 8th grade French we have been working and reworking a few grammatical points. First, we are trying to wrap our brains around the agreement of nouns and adjectives in French. Next, we are studying word order and the fact that some adjectives come before the noun and others after. Finally, we are brushing up on possessive adjectives, such as my, your, and his or her. These are complicated because for each English form, there are three different French forms: one for masculine, feminine, and plural.
This chapter also teaches how to describe appearances. We learned to describe hair and eye color, a number of verbs such as baisser, bouger, avancer, tourner, plier and lever. Students are also beginning to work on their presentations for Foreign Language Week.
