Circling around the big line on the floor, children walk, and then jump, onto a colored circle, making themselves big (grand) or small (petit), as directed by Madame Jo. Bleu ou rouge? Today we read La Vache Amèlie, a book about a cow who travels by train (le train) to the city, only to be lead by the police (le policier) to the zoo (le zoo). After being put in a cage (une cage) with a bison named Falo, she is released with him and runs back to the field (le champ). After reading the book, we played "Hide the Mouse" (Cachons la souris) on the feltboard with a train, a cow, a bison, a cage, a field and a farm. We will work with this story for several weeks, so please repeat these words with your child!
