5th grade French
The fifth grade is currently reviewing the alphabet and accents in French, as well as some easy vocabulary common to both French and English. Ability to pronounce the letters of the alphabet is closely tied to pronunciation in French, particularly as the vowels are pronounced almost the same in words as they are in the alphabet. This is a review section in the book; when we finish, we will move on to numbers and then to school supplies. Students are also learning the names of the characters in the series. There are four teens who we follow throughout the book, as well as the six characters from the Three Musketeers. See if your child can name them all for you!
