Pre-School French

Today, Wednesday, pre-schoolers were joyfully wearing their Halloween costumes. In French class, we managed to turn attention to Bobo le singe, Toto le taureau and Thom le Singe.
These three animals are different colors and pre-schoolers identified them as being marron (brown), rouge (red), or bleu (blue). We then played a game where girls and boys were asked as a group to stand on large sheets of colored paper (les filles sur le bleu, les garçons sur le rouge, etc). Then we played walk on the circle to the music, and when the music stopped children made themselves either really big, or really small!
Other vocabulary we have been working on is fille (girl), garçon (boy), grand (big), petit (little), marcher (walk), numbers to ten and colors. Books read to date include A la ferme, Ladybugs, Mouse Paint, Mais qui fait comme ça, Bonjour, and Counting Zoo (English books are read in French).
